Flies, gnats, maggots, midges, mosquitoes, keds, bots, etc. are all common names for insects that belong to the Diptera order. There are over 120,000 different kinds of flies and maybe 1,000,000 species of flying insects altogether. There is no part of the Earth where these insects are not a major pest except for the polar ice caps.

Flies and mosquitoes are harmful insects. Flies can infest and damage food grains and growing crops while mosquitoes transmit a variety of diseases to humans, including malaria, West Nile virus, encephalitis and yellow fever. Fruit flies alone do hundreds of millions of dollars of damage to crops in the state of Hawaii each year, and mosquitoes are responsible for hundreds of millions of cases of malaria worldwide every year. Neither insect is a welcome guest around the home

Ants are beneficial in loosening and aerating soil, but are mostly pests to humans. They enter homes looking for food and water, and are often found around kitchen cabinets and appliances. Ants prefer sweet sugary materials or fatty foods, depending on the time of the year, needs in the colony and availability of food sources.

Spiders have 8 legs and belong to the arachnid family, which includes scorpions, mites and ticks. Each of the southern US states has 600 to 900 species of spiders living there, and there are probably 3,000 species worldwide. Most of these spiders will spend all of their lives outdoors and only a few choose to live in homes with humans. The brown recluse and southern black widow are two of the most common types found indoors.

These predators hide during the day and wander the house at night hunting for prey. Not all spiders build webs to trap their prey. Some catch their meals by merely hiding, and then pounce upon any prey that passes by close enough.

The common bed bug is a pest problem that has sharply increased in recent years, due to more travel, lack of knowledge about them and ineffective control of infestations.  Bed bugs leave itchy bites after feeding on the blood of their human victims, and are a public nuisance.  They are most active at night and can be hard to find and identify since they hide in bedding, mattresses and seams of upholstered furniture.  Bed Bugs are only about the thickness of a credit card, so they can squeeze into very tiny hiding places.

BENGAL FLYING INSECT KILLER is a fast-acting aerosol spray that kills flying insects on contact.  The powerful fog is odorless and non staining to any surfaces that it may contact.  It may be used both indoors and outdoors to kill a broad spectrum of insect pests, including houseflies, fruit flies, mosquitoes, gnats, Asian lady beetles, black flies, blow flies, and small flying moths. Close all doors and windows and spray room at the rate of 2 to 3 seconds per 1000 cubic feet.  Direct spray to all parts of the room, especially windows and other light sources which attract these insects. Keep nozzle in constant motion.  Re-treat if infestation occurs, but not more than once every two weeks.

BENGAL CRAWLING INSECT KILLER is one of our best products to control these pests.  Spray areas where ants are found or may hide, including dark corners of rooms and closets; cracks and crevices in walls; along baseboards and door and window frames; behind and beneath sinks, stoves, refrigerators, and cabinets; and around garbage cans; plumbing and other utility installations.  Pests driven out of hiding places should be sprayed directly.  Spray ant trails and around doors and windows, and wherever else these pests may find an entrance.

Spiders often hide in dark inaccessible areas.  Apply spray in small amounts directly into cracks and crevices, into openings leading into voids and hollow spaces in walls, around equipment legs and bases where these insects hide.  Spray outside surfaces of window and door frames as well as other areas where these pests may enter the home.  Also spray dark corners and localized resting areas (such as under eaves) or porches, patios, and garages where spiders may congregate.  Repeat treatment in 5 to 7 days as necessary.

Bed bugs hide in the folds of mattresses, bedding and furniture, and it is very important to apply Bengal Bed Bug & Flea Killer spray into the crevices and hard-to-see areas where they hide.  For best results, thoroughly vacuum all carpeting, upholstered furniture, drapes, along baseboards, under furniture and in closets.  Seal vacuum bag and dispose of in outdoor trash.  Before treatment, SHAKE WELL and make a test application to surfaces to be treated in an inconspicuous place.  Spray any exposed bed bugs that you see on furniture and beds.  Read the product label for the complete Directions For Use. This product is not recommended for use as a sole protection against bed bugs.  If evidence of bed bugs is found in/on mattresses. use this product as part of an integrated pest management program to control bed bugs.

BENGAL INSECTICIDE CONCENTRATE is a concentrate that is mixed with water in a pump sprayer according to the instructions - generally 1 fluid ounce per gallon of water.  Initial clean out of heavy infestations may require 2 fluid ounces per gallon of water concentration.  Apply as a coarse wet spray to surfaces where insects are normally found, such as floors, baseboards, and around walls.

Foggers are a popular method of treating indoor insects.  Foggers are generally appropriate in cases of heavy infestation. Because the contents of a fogger are released into the space from a central location, the spray is dispersed widely.
